Becoming a Science Policy Analyst
The academic career website Vitae interviewed Chris Pickett about his transition from oncological scientist to policy analyst. After completing his Ph.D. and working for five years as a postdoc, Pickett discovered his interest in policy. The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology hired him as a policy fellow and then a policy analyst where he uses his research experience to interpret how policy affects scientist.
